How has summer been for you? I hope you have been preparing for the mountains, staying fit, walking and climbing in your local hills, not working too hard and relaxing with family, friends and colleagues. Please send me your news and tell me what you have been doing.
My name is Dan Mazur, and I work for www.SummitClimb.com and www.SummitTrek.com . In honor of their 20th Anniversary, they are having a Sale. Wow!!
It has been an exciting and successful year for SummitClimb & SummitTrek and we look forward to keeping up the momentum this October and November. NEWS FLASH: Our climbing teams of men and women of all ages have just left for Cho Oyu, world's 6th highest and most accessible mountain and Shishapangma in Tibet, world's 14th highest and less crowded 8000 metre peak. We wish them luck! Please go to www.SummitClimbNews.com to follow their progress in the coming weeks.
In May our Everest Nepal, Everest Tibet, and Cho Oyu climbing expeditions all summited, and our basecamp walks and Everest training schools all achieved their goals. We were lucky to have friendly teams of men and women of all ages with excellent leaders, top sherpas, fine food, and good equipment. You can follow how we got on at www.SummitClimbNews.com .
In June we returned from a fun and worthwhile Service Walk to remote Nepal . Thanks to concerned and wonderfully kind and caring people around the world, we are working with local families to build several schools and hospitals in poor remote villages, and a greenhouse at Nepal's oldest convent, near Everest. At the basecamp of our world's highest mountain, we have teamed up with engineers to design a system to safely recycle waste from Everest into valuable cooking gas and useful farm fertilizer. Please follow our projects at www.MEFnews.com .
In July our team of men and women of all ages reached the summit of Mount Mustagata in China, known as the world's highest 24,500 foot high mountain that can be skied, boarded, snowshoed and walked.
Just a few weeks ago we returned from our free of cost, no-charge Glacier School; a week of glacier travel and mountain training on the lower 48's most glaciated 14,500 foot peak, with a fun group of men and women of all ages. A wonderful and educational time was had by all. 18 members and 4 leaders reached the summit of this very snowy and beautiful glaciated mountain, on a gorgeous sunny day.
Congratulations to everyone on what has been our most successful year ever! Please read about all of the recent exciting news of our walking and climbing expeditions at www.SummitClimbNews.com & www.SummitTrekNews.com .

I have worked for many climbing and trekking companies, and from what I have seen, SummitClimb and SummitTrek have a longstanding history of running good quality affordable climbs and walks in the Himalaya, Aconcagua, and African regions. Their American, British and European leaders, sherpas and staff are very experienced, well trained, and loyal to the company. The food on their trips is delicious, and they spend a lot of money on new equipment each year.
SummitClimb and SummitTrek have offices in the US, Nepal, Tibet, and China, and have built a good rapport with local Nepal, Tibet, and China government climbing and walking permit officials, embassies, visa and border officials, sherpa labor organizations, porters, yak drivers, hotel owners, restaurateurs, and airlines. Because of their 20 year relationship with all these global people and agencies, inside information, and local knowledge, SummitTrek and SummitClimb seem to have some of the most competitive prices I have seen for the quality and service offered anywhere in the industry.
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS EMAIL TO DISCOVER FULL-SERVICE ADVENTURE IN THE HIMALAYA, ACONCAGUA, AND AFRICA DURING 2011 AND 2012.

Please email me right away for more information, as space on our permit is filling up quickly.
NEWSFLASH FOR OCTOBER-NOVEMBER CLIMBERS AND TREKKERS: there is a pre-trip newsletter for our autumn 2011 expeditions and walks up on the SummitClimb website at: www.PreTripNewsletter.com . Please take a look at this when you get a chance, as there is a lot of information about the trip, what to bring, etcetera.
PAYMENT & CREDIT CARD NEWS: Feel free to put the entire cost of your trip on your credit card to earn valuable miles, points, and to postpone payment. Also you are also welcome to pay via check, bank transfer, paypal, cash or western union.
PERMIT NEWS: All of our walking, trekking, and climbing permits for Nepal in October and November to Ama Dablam, Baruntse, Everest Basecamp, Mera Peak, Lobuche East (Everest Glacier School) and Remote Nepal Service Trek are fully confirmed. Perhaps there is no better time to visit the Himalaya. Not only do the October-November and March-July seasons provide some of the best weather windows of the year, but 2011\2012 is a very good time to climb and explore in Nepal and Tibet, as tourism has dropped to its lowest level in many years, due to the global economic situation. The mountains are very quiet and it has been peaceful for the last 3 years everywhere in Nepal and Tibet. Additionally, we continue to emphasize offering a very high level of service at the most affordable prices.
It's time for you to confirm your place in our rapidly filling teams for October - November 2011 and also for Spring and Autumn 2012. Below please find the list of walks, climbs and service treks.
After all questions are answered to your (and our) satisfaction, please send your completed and signed application (email is preferable). To find the application, please go to www.SummitClimb.com or www.SummitTrek.com and in the upper right hand corner you can download it from the "Contact/Application" button. Many thanks!
Also, we need your refundable 10% deposit to hold your place in our teams, which fill rapidly due to our low prices. Regarding our charges, we have made every effort to encourage people to climb and walk in the Himalaya and Aconcagua and Africa by keeping our prices as low as possible. Also, because our company was founded and is run by climbers and walkers we would not feel comfortable charging more than we would be willing to pay ourselves.
We offer generous discounts for groups of 2 or more, mountain guides, returning members, medical professionals, and referring your friends.
By the way, our growing company is always looking for members who would like to learn to become leaders, so please visit www.LeaderInTraining.com , where we give special discounts and free hotels in return for your membership in the program.
Speaking of leaders, would you like to meet and climb together with our SummitClimb and SummitTrek leaders for a week or two in February or July in a pristine mountain setting? Why not try our free of cost (no charge) www.AlpsMeet.org or www.GlacierSchool.org , where you can experience the mountains and personally meet and explore the high country together with our friendly leaders, all for free, no charge.
We encourage you to take advantage and book one of the presently inexpensive flights which are still being offered to Kathmandu airport (KTM). Please let us know if you need any help finding flights. Flights from North America to KTM cost: $1500-$1900.
***OUR CLIMBS AND WALKS ARE LISTED BELOW and feature "full-service" with the best most experienced American, British and European leaders, excellent tents, equipment, delicious food, and top notch trained and highly qualified sherpas. We also list prices for "basic" climbs, a stripped down version of the trip to help you save lots of money.
If anything strikes your fancy, or if you just have questions, please contact me straight away via email or phone. Our trips are filling so we need to answer all of your questions and ideas so you can join us in the next few weeks. If you call me and I am out walking or climbing when you call, please do leave a clear message with your name, phone number, and best time to call you back.
